THE EVENT

Hackfort, inside of the Treefort Music Festival, combines all things art, tech, light, and interactive in one place!

In 2024 Sensebellum was invited to bring out some of our favorite science based interactive art installations to the event.

Microscopia, Floragraph, and The Sandbox of Life were all in attendance alongside a new interactive laser based projection piece among many other artists of the area such as Joseph Haskin and Justin Blauch.

THE EXPERIENCE

Each piece is an open ended exploration into the hidden worlds all around us.

The entire setup was a glowing beacon of sound, light, and curiosity within the conference room.

Attendees sought each attraction from miles away thanks to the inclusion of each piece in the official app with 10’s of thousands of people coming to sculpt worlds in the Sandbox, make melodies with the plant based Floragraph, and peer into hidden worlds through Microscopia.

Further, the new laser based interactive projection mapping work was a huge hit! As an homage to the early roots in video feedback installation the crisp 20k lumen laser projector afforded a large scale canvas to paint with light using the included laser as well as step in between to use your shadow as an eraser.
